Hurghada
Hurghada itsself is as unspectacular as it gets. Basically its about staying inside of a very well situated gated area and getting serviced the whole day long. but this was boring…
Luxor and the valley of the kings
4-5 hours by private bus from Hurghada to the river nile,
old luxor temple, the
valley of the kings , the
Colossi of Memnon,
Medinet Habu and the
Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut
Gizeh
The
pyramids of gizeh, the Sphinx – a lot of Stones. Almost 4600 years old.
Egyptian museum
Just in the first floor from the front, there is almost everything from the tomb of
Tutankhamun, including his golden Sarcophagus and the famous golden mask. Also, a replica of the
Rosetta Stone from the British Museum can be found right after entering the museum. It was the first Ancient Egyptian bilingual text recovered in modern times, and it aroused widespread public interest with its potential to decipher
this previously untranslated hieroglyphic script.
What you also do in the sand dunes…
20 km back and forth – quite nice but not very individual. Too many people and constant speed with many stops.
